Does anyone know any?
I remember when I was young I heard about one, where the coconut tree got up and danced and started throwing coconuts at people....the story goes on that a Haitian voodo priest had to be called in to dispell the ghost. This all happened in the Centreville area or some sort... My mom swear this story is true....

then there were the chicharney kidnappings in Freeport...apparently some kids went missing and the chicharney was spotted flying from tree to tree.

I love Ghost stories etc! Do you ever watch "Ghost Hunters" on TV? It was on tonight. I would love to see a ghost, never have. I have mentioned on this site that my house is supposed to be haunted. Many people have seen strange things. I wish I could say I saw them but no such luck. But I can tell you that there is one bedroom that gives me the creeps!!! It is seldom used. Many people that have slept in there have reported strange things: lights, noises, the feeling of something being there.

The upstairs landing, which is kind of large, also has some "cold spots" from time to time. I noticed it once, for a second or two, but it did not last so I can't say what caused it. But I can tell you that when the power goes out at night I would not like to be caught in that hall!

I heard that one too about the ghost in Centerville. My mom and aunts swears it happened. I guess seeing is believing. But the skeptic in me says....Yeah right!!!!

Never heard the chicharney one though.

yeah, how did yours go?
the one I heard, the PM had to get involve...Apparently, it was him who had to call the Obeah doctor. Also, I was told that it was a woman who called out the spirit, but couldn't put it back in. Then I heard the woman used to work in the Casino over at Atlantis.

No member of BI was in Boy Scouts hey. I memba when we used to go out Adelaide by the camp site they used to talk about Barabas (I tink the name is) the boongie bandit who liked young boys (no anti-homosexual intentions by the way) but that was just the saying when we camped out there. It was scary back in the days cause we had to accomplish the tent pitching and survival tacts as a group out in the bush....... Well das my story and I stickin to it!

my mommy tells the story of being on cat island with the two headed coconut tree and something happening to them when they tief mangos off the people tree...(If that makes sense) he skeptic in me insist that it could just be the wind blowing and they got spooked because they know what thy was doing was wrong!me I see spirits all the time...I dont know what it is but I do...
and whoever went to camp n james cistern eleuthera and the girls would tell storis about bloody mary...man I had the top bunk...I was scared of the dark and all that bush behind the camp...if i never go back it wont be too soon...feeding us bread and watermelon for lunch (we lost so much weight when we went for them two weeks) lol

Here is one.....in Eleuthera there is a story about a woman who got killed going home one night....drivers are always being stopped for a ride and when they get to the Hatchet Bay aarea to let the woman off there is no one in their cars.....My uncle told me don't give anyone a ride because it might be the ghost.....

It seems like a lot of Bahamians are familiar with it.

i believe its the yard on wulff road opposite collins ave. if you drive south on collins ave and you cross the wulff road intersection and run into the wall thats the house where the ghost were. its the green building which sells ice cream there now.

no that's not it,where plantol st runs into collins avenue, make a left turn and the very first left turn after that and it's the second or third house on the left,at that time the house was grey
