Is this true...??

Just heard this on issues of the day, where a guy called in and said that he had gotten funding from private donors, in order to go out an round up illegal immigrants in the areas!

Lawd Jeebus!
:gi:

He says the group consists of 20 or so people, and they are expecting to get busses in the near future.

Waits to see how this works out...but...like Bahamian fashion, it would go "ok" for a week, before it falls to laziness and uncordinated efforts!

Well. We gat Haitian Guerilla's in this country, so, it is only fitting we have Bahamian mercenaries to counter-act this.

Well hey, the US Bordermen, or whatever they call themselves, where a group of privately funded ppl for quite some time before they got assistance from the Federal Government to some degree. As long as they are effective, without inhumane methods I guess. But then again would that be legal for them to do....

I wonder why this man doens't just find some people to do the work the "illegal" immigrants do, therefore eliminating the need for them to be here.
Addressing the cause rather then the symptom.
Is yard and maid work not as glorious as kicking in doors for this guy?

you mean the minutemen? they were pretty much (still are) a bunch of white supremacist nutjobs who had nothing better to do in their life then try and shoot "them mexicans".
And how will they NOT use inhumane methods? If somebody in no kind of uniform comes to my door and tells me he needs to see my papers, the only way he'll see them is by forcefully taking them from me after I tell him exactly where he should go...

Wouldn't they (the group) be similar to Bounty Hunters, like "Dog" who I dispise.

I'd like to see someone other than Immigration come to my house and ask for papers. My Bahamian wife is real good with a cutlass.

I heard that too!

Well, it was only a matter of time before something like this happened!

You don't like the Dog? lol (He is a bit "odd" I will admit.)

But if ya legal and ya papers straight.... Whatz the problem.....Not meaning you personally, but that's the attitude most of the "illegal" ppl have with Immigration officials and that's just crazy. We allowed the illegal ppl in the country to feel that they have as much rights as Bahamians.

i'm legal, but my papers are nobody's business except for the immigration authorities. Every other "rent-a-cop" can go to hell. Witchhunt tactics won't solve anything.
Imagine this situation.
- Bus of guys pulls up in front of my appartment, get out and bang on my door.
- I open the door and ask them how I can help them
- They say they need to see my papers
- I ask who they are and why they need to see them
- They tell me they are whoever the hell they are, but not immigration
- I politely tell them to go to hell and shut the door
- They decide that I'm illegal since if I was legal I would "have nothing to fear" and bust down my door
- Somebody gets killed/seriously injured and I end up in trouble for simply protecting my household.

I guess you didn't read my post carefully. What I mean is that no one has the legal right to demand my papers EXCEPT Immigration Officers and perhaps RBDF in the case of Out Islands. I have been told that even police must detain you and Immigration must be called for that.

Perhaps I am wrong.
