Lincoln 08-05-04, - 10:41 PM I think you are approaching this from the wrong angle. The laws against Bahamians gambling are legal, but are they right?
At one time, slavery was legal, not allowing women to vote was legal. Child labour was legal, but was it right? Where any of those things right? Of course not!
Laws change, they adapt, they evolve. They are not set in stone. If you wish the law to change, attack it from the angle that it is legal but is it right?
CG, I will say it to you like I said it to Cedric. Legal means Writting. Illegal Means Bad writing in its root meaning. Now, do you agree that it is a bad writting. I feel that anylaw that openly discriminates is a bad writting. You will also note that the same point you made(Slavery, Womens rights etc) I mentioned previously. That is my argument.

I think this is a problem of a misunderstanding, When you say "bad writing" are you speaking in a moral sense (it is bad to discriminate) or in a grammatical sense (the English is poorly written) or in a legal sense (its legal wording is faulty?)
To answer my own question - I think you are using the word "illegal" and "something that discriminates" to mean the same thing. Am I right?

Bad writting is refering to the moral implications. The legal argument is to show the inconsistancy and hypocracy of the laws pertaining to gambling. The main purpose was and is to spark thought on the matter from a new angle. Scores of people have told me that they never looked at it from an angle that it is discimination. Even preachers who are strongly against gamming have told me that in that regard the law should be changed to all or none. Everyone in this forum agrees that it is discrimination- including Cedric. And I think that all of us should agree that discimination is a worse sin than gamming.
By the way the law was intentionally written with loop holes so that when ever we gain enough knowledge and courage to fight the heathen church it could be easily toppled.

Ok, now I think I understand you. If you look at my other posts here, you will see that I have always been, "all gamble, or no one gambles" person. "What is sauce for the Goose, is sauce for the Gander" person.
As for the Church. I am sure there are those who would oppose it because it will cut into their collections. At the same time there are those Churches that have a concern that legal Casino gambling might become yet another "epidemic" in this country.

It is about more than being allowed to gamble. It is also about a fair economic playing field. Tourism is our number on industry. The foundation of that is the casino hotel. By Law we are not allowed to own a part of our number one industry. Even if all three hundred thousand of us put our monies together we are not allowed to own it. we can only be the nigggers working in them. This is a backward mentality.
CG, I don't gamble. Neither am I interested in gambling. But I do hate unfairness.
Alien 08-09-04, - 09:43 PM are the laws illegal or right?
i think that is the question...
and if that goes to a poll or vote...i think the majority of the bahamian people would go for gambling.
i personaly dont gamble, neither do i promote it!
but, if it is what they want...see how it goes!
doesnt sound like a good idea though!
btw...licoln, are you in anyway in ca-hoots with any gaming industry foreign or national, and are just trying to promote their interest?
stranger things have happened!!!
you seem to be hard on for this topic..and i just want to understand more of your side of it!!

No. Do you have to have a needy child to want to help needy kids in africa? Do you have to be a jew to frawn at the 'holocost'?
I don't even gamble. People like the ones you asked if i am in ca-hoots with do not need to influence a few internet surfers or news papers, they just come in and buy out the authorities; like Sol who brought all that dirty south African blood money and built atlantis. Besides foreigners don't need your approval they can gamble freely so why would they need me to agitate for them.I really really hate injustice and I am going to fight it to the last breath. Maybe not in the traditional ways you are used to but I will fight nonetheless. A group of young people are forming in this country who are deeply concerned about our present and future.
The rebellion has begun. Revolution is at hand.

What you just said has a ponit. But the question is why doesn't the government place a ban on gambling for everybody that way everything will be equal? But since everything is not and will never be equal why not have a protest or march to city hall, parliament or something?
Alien 08-10-04, - 04:57 PM i did say foreign or national!
and a little secret for you..foreigners who come here with money...want to be nationalized sometimes...cant gamble if you are a bahamian citizen right?
no need to get all frothy man.... :D
btw...Sol is working his arse off trying to get his bahamian citizenship...no later than last year!
sooo think about why i ask you again!
not saying you are, but saying are you?

Hi Lincoln, Taking something bad and making good use of it, is the nature of things.
Excrement becomes fertilizer and then food. I am not saying blood money is a good thing. Atrocities torture murder rape and stealing for power and profit is never good. (Even if christians do it in the name of Christ) But after the fact is, if good can come from it then good and move on.
I say make the laws equal simple...
Wherever you have to make reference to people in the law replace it with these words “human beings”. Exception would be the classification of foreigners for immigration purposes.

Sol was made a citizen this year! His son butch is next. So now he is bahamian but can gamble and own a casino. There are bahamians who can and do gamble- they are the white ones.
Sol worked is arse of to become a bahamian because he is an exile. he ran out of South Africa when the blacks got power. America wouldn't have him so he came to us.
Remember Pindling wouldn't allow that racist bastards to come to our country.

Hi vicky
I agree with you Fully. I realize that you can yous the bad to make something good. But maybe feces isn't bad. Maybe that is just perception. Ask a farmer if cow feces is bad.
Even if it is bad, You don't eat the feces do you. The feces partners with the earth, who partners with the other elements Who partner with the plant and produces fruit.
We didn't partner we just got pimped. Foreign investment is not necessarily good. That is what destroyed Jamaica. They gat factories, hotels, everything. the problem is they don't own any of it. All they get is the crumbs- jobs. Thats bad!

are you sure....
it figures then, becasue his son was made head of all operations in the bahamas.
and he probably serves as a consulting partner, but i guess now the son has the ability to make the descisions.
dont forget now that all kinds of mucka mucks have money in the atlantis...mike jackson, oprah and mandela...
so...
it is a corporation with alot of interests and interested people..
i was wondering why solly boy was pushing for bahamian citizenship.."but show me where you saw that though, becasue it slipped through the cracks"
if he is a bahamian now...probaly serves the purpose of his son holding a figure head position!
notice how they adress the son nowadays..."ceo, and controling partner"
just another way guys get over!!!
