THE RT HONORABLE HUBURT INGRAHAM
PRIME MINISTER
This is in concern to the new government that is in power now.
For one full term of terrorist rule under the Perry Christie administration there has been so much corruption that has gone unpunished even now as I write this letter to you there is a serious miscarriage of justice being bestowed upon the Effie Schneider family. As we found out yesterday, Trent Albury has been incarcerated for ten plus months in the Fox hill jail without being charged with any crime. From witnesses that were in the courtroom yesterday it was evident that the Magistrate Archer had a strong resentment towards Trent. Also the they witnessed a rapist and a murderer be bonded out for 15,000.00 dollars but yet Trent still is being held without bond in a jail that has no running water no toilet no shower and has been refused medication for his blood pressure and his heart condition. These conditions are in violation of the Geneva Convention, and the U.N. hasn’t even been allowed to inspect the premises under the P.L.P. . A witness that was permitted to visit the jail almost threw up from the disgusting conditions thereof. The attorney generals assistant Mr. Braithwaite was adamant that Trent be held until the end of October so he may be able to obtain the true documentation pursuant to this case. He states that all the papers have been forged. He also has stated that he has been under the direction of Fred Mitchell, and it’s not his fault that Mrs. Pamela Brown who supposedly signed the documents denies signing them. And that she had retired a year prior to the signing of the documents. She also stated that she had no jurisdiction to sign any papers, and knows it is not her signature and swears she knows nothing about this case because, it came to play after her retirement.
There is documentation from the United States Embassy that states there are no wants or warrants for extradition from the United States for any Trent Albury so why is he still incarcerated?
This is what we surmise from this situation.
When Edison Key resigned from the P.L.P. Edison submitted a detailed report of all of the witnessed and documented corruption and of all the people that were involved in the Bahamas in this corruption to Perry Christie (Prime Minister at that time.)
Since that time there has been numerous death threats against the Schneider family which is the eldest sister of Edison Key Effie. There have been numerous searches and raids of their family’s homes looking for the documents that would implicate as to the corruption in the Minister of Tourism (Obie Wilchcomb) some of the family are still living in exile to avoid persecution from false prosecution and threats of death bestowed upon them. Effie and Eugene had to leave the Bahamas to save their own lives.
The corruption goes so deep that after paying a prominent attorney Godfrey \Pro\Pinder close to $100,000.00 dollars there has still been no movement in the lawsuit Godfrey was supposed to file on our behalf. Even after numerous complaints to the bar we still have no resolve. Wayne Monroe is the head of the bar association. We’ve filed complaints directly to his office but also with no resolve.
After all these occurrences it makes you wonder who is paying these people to keep the Schneider family in check.
Now there is a new government. The F.N.M. took over the administration in May 2007.
But still it seems that the previous administration is still running the country from our perspective.
Perry Christie, Gary Sawyer, Yvonne Key, Revies Rolle, Obie Wilchcombe,Reginald Ferrington, and Clarence Russell ASP are still creating havoc upon the Schneiders. Some of the family are still living in exile from threats of death and wrongful prosecution, while Perry Christie and his regime is ruining the country.
With all this knowledge of all this corruption and despair you would think that these criminals would be in jail, but still no resolve. Maybe after this letter is read by the right people, the right people may have their lives back. <And on a footnote>
This just may make international press release.

Dam, I remember this story VERY well. I'm quite surprised the saga is still going on. You NEED to make this as up-front in the public arena as you can.

Get in touch with Lincoln Bain and see if he can do a show on his controversy TV. If cable 12 does not allow it to be aired, at least it can be seen on you-tube for all the world to see.

Lincon Bain is a member here so see if you can send him a private message. ALL the names you mentioned and the story has to be brought out in the open.

You should not have to suffer in silence!!

Thats my advice, for what its worth.

By KHASHAN POITIER, Guardian Staff Reporter

Early this week, Prime Minister Perry Christie will respond to "defraud" allegations made in the media by former Progressive Liberal Party Senator Edison Key.

For almost a month, Mr Key refused to reveal details behind his resignation from the Senate and the PLP, which he had been affiliated with for over 30 years. But, what he called a "mega ton bomb," exploded on Friday.

In a letter to The Guardian's editor, Mr Key said he was "blacklisted" and "aborted" by the government two months after the 2002 general elections.

The letter explained: "I came in possession of a 'confidential' document, which indicated that a major contract of some $38 million annually or $190 million over a five-year period, was about to be awarded by one of the key government ministries and there was a proposed scheme in the contract to defraud the Bahamian tax payers, the Public Treasury of millions of dollars, obviously with the co-operation of one of your ministers and cronies."

Upon receiving this information, Mr Key travelled to the capital from his Abaco home and personally put the documents in Mr Christie's hand.

Blacklisted

Instead of the Government's Code of Ethics coming into play, Mr Key said he was "blacklisted" from that day forward.

"I have been made to feel like a outsider, a traitor.... and have been subjected to more indignity and affront than I have had to endure my entire lifetime, while the real culprits, who should have been relieved of their duties and banished from public service, have instead been promoted as board members in various ministries and given approvals and licenses for a myriad of projects," Mr Key claimed, adding, "And they say crime doesn't pay."

He also noted that "scores" of applications have been made by Abaco PLP supporters for positions in various ministries, including the Ministry of Finance, which Mr Christie heads, and they have all been ignored.

In addition, Mr Key said he introduced four potential investors to Mr Christie who were interested in investing some $105 million and creating 600 jobs, but that too, was ignored.

Mr Key asked, "Could it be that they were given the could shoulder because Edison Key brought them?" He continued, "I know nothing of the government's plans for Abaco, or even if there are any plans for Abaco.... As far as the much-publicized Winding Bay project goes, all I say is, 'What Winding Bay project?'"

The letter goes on to describe how numerous promotions were made in Abaco, which he had never been invited to.

Calling his term with the PLP as a rich experience, the letter concludes: "I believe that I have been a good ambassador and I shall continue to uphold the principles and ideals of the Progressive Liberal Party, because I believe in those ideals on which the party was founded."

PM will respond to the letter

The prime minister, according to the government's spokesman Al Dillette, will respond to the letter, but it uncertain exactly when that will happen. Initially, a statement was expected as early as Monday, but Mr Christie was said to be mourning the death of his father-in-law, Father Howard Hanna who died last Sunday.

Opposition awaiting response

Meanwhile, the opposition is "anxiously" awaiting Mr Christie's response to Mr Key's allegations, which apparently confirms that the code of ethics tabled in Parliament in June 2002 "is really a joke."

Senator Tommy Turnquest on Sunday asked, "How do you let something like that go unchecked, unchallenged for so long?.... The prime minister says emphatically of how he's gonna deal with it and, we've now had several cases where nothing has happened. It (the code of ethics) is just a piece of paper."

Victimisation allegations

It was reported that Effie Schneider, 75, the elder sister of Mr Key said that she was victimised by police in her home on Thursday. However, Police liaison officer Superintendent Hulan Hanna said since no official complaint of criminal conduct was made to the police, the police did not have any cause to investigate the allegations.

Well, there are actually two stories here, one is about a TRENT ALBURY who, by the way, removed a tracking anklet from his person (he was out on bail awaiting his sentence for killing a woman in Florida when he ran a stop light while reportedly on drugs) and was smuggled back to Abaco where he hid out until the authorities found him and placed him in Fox Hill awaiting his return to Florida.

He is fighting his extradition with what remains of his family's fortune (Trent, btw is a cousin and nephew of the original posters of this thread)

Some believe that a family member was instrumental in Trent's escape from Florida after removing the anklet.

Trent is therefore wanted in Florida, and awaits his fate at Fox Hill. Justice is sometimes slow.

This and the other story, which is about some crown land in Marsh Harbour, is what has been used by some to castigate other Abaco residents before and during the recent general elections.

Some people are hiding out, not because of this, but because they broke into someone's office and removed sensitive documents. Truth hurts, doesn't it?

Trent was brought to Abaco under cover of darkness, but the Bahamian and American authorities GOT HIM. The same fate awaits others who are just delaying the inevitable. So.......
"Come home, Come home,
Ye Who are weary,
Come home!
Earnestly, tenderly, the Police are calling.......................,
Calling on Genie,
COME HOME!!

These issues make NO SENSE. At all. I still can't understand the proposed project Key was talking about, because he is just quoting figures and saying tax-payers fraud, without saying which project; not even the island, or the minister involved. This leads me to believe more in sour grapes from Key, as he, like many, THOUGHT, he deserved to be more and got nothing. As you can see, he swicthed sides and is still a back-bencher. My God, Hubert Ingraham is working with a PLP "Malcolm Adderley", rather than using all of his bench; including Key. Maybe he should try to do some work, instead of trying to show everyone how smart and decent he is.

And, with the first poster, what exactly are they trying to say? That their family member, Trent Albury, committed a crime in the US and is wanted by authorities? But, they want him to be released......I don't get it?

With that, how does the PLP come into play NOW? The government has changed, as they have noticed, and they still have the nerve to say "the PLP is still controlling things in the FNM government and cabinet"??

See, this is what you should expect from people with an axe to grind. Even if they have a case, state their case as a matter of the people they want to help, and not solely about PLP bashing!

My goodness, the government has changed. Get over it. Pursue your case as it is....

You know I am always saying, we operate too slow in the bahamas. The minute we found out he was an escapee there is nso need for extradition. AZZ on the plane. this sound like the Cuban doctors that were in the detention center till it cause a mess.

We ought not to be having this conversation if othese stories are true. The fact is he was on bail and the other he had a tracking device.

Straight on the plane back where he came from. If they were just going to charge him then yes extradition is necessary. What is wrong with our attorney General office. They are always too slow to give the goverment good legal advice, unless they just don't know.

GET THAT MAN OUT OF OUR JAIL AND BACK WHERE HE BELONG.......HE SIGNED A BAIL BOND....AGREEING TO CERTAIN RULES THEREFORE THERE IS NOTHING FOR OUR COURTS TO GET INVOLVE IN. SMT I AM TIRED OF SLACKNESS ,

Hold your horses, I believe that we are not getting the full story here, but for the benefit of Trent, is he a Bahamian Citizen? If he is, then that's another story. We do not extradite our citizens with due process of the law. If he is not a citizen then, did he land here illegally?

We are not hearing the full story.

whether you are a bahamian or not, when you are a CONVICTED OR CHARGED and escape custody you are a fugitive and we have conventions governing this.

HE HAD AN ANKLE BRACELET tracking device by the US goverment. there is no extradiction needed he is their property.

Let him go free????? we look stupid aye...now if he feels that he will not get a fair trial that is a different matter. and still their are procedures for that...not running away..we are duty bound to return him.

I wonder if he white........cuz some of them think they above the law.....if they were harbouring him why aren't they behind bars????? yall live long
