Today I went to the Public Treasury to get my check. I got there at 4.09 and up to 4.30 I was still on the line being ignored by the treasury staff.

Finally I asked what was going and was told that the Supervisor Donna Delancy had closed the window because she did not have any lunch and was on her feet all day.

I left at 4.36 without my check and very angry.

You could hear the girls laughing and everything to them is a big joke.

I asked who was in charge and every one responded that they did not know who was in charge.

They need to fire the whole lot of them from the supervisor down and see how they like that. They were very rude and incompetent.

I would like to know who is in charge of The Treasury. They need to make sure that the staff know who they are working for, The last time I looked it was the Public Treasury not their personal treasury.

I want an apology from Donna Delancy and her staff and the person in charge of all of them.

No wonder the public service has such a bad reputation.

I have often wondered why so many Government places, road traffic, post offices, public treasury etc. have Bullet Proof windows between the staff and the public. I thought it was because of potential robberies. The more I hear stuff like you report I am beginning to believe the windows are there to keep us from strangling the "workers!" :p

If I were you I would call the Public Treasury and ask to speak to the person in charge. (Make a note of the time you called the Treasury, and ask "Whom am I speaking to?" and make a note of the answer.) If that does not work then call the Prime Minister's office and report an important Government office is running without anyone in charge. Tell them the time you called and the person you spoke with.

sorry to hear that, i know from previous experience what its like not to get paid, especially before a long weekend. I hope you get it straight, and if possible at least get through to someone in charge of that place to place a complaint so it doesnt happen again.
