Another big drug bust 120 kilos of cocaine from Ecuador are seized in Freeport

FREEPORT – Grand Bahama police put another huge dent in the drug distribution business, with a major haul at the Freeport Container Port on Saturday afternoon.
Chief superintendent of Police Basil Rahming, press liaison officer, said that the drug discovery at the shipping facility resulted in an estimated 120 kilos of cocaine being seized, with an estimated street value of $3 million.
This multi-million dollar discovery of cocaine was a joint effort by the drug interdiction team led by Grand Bahama Drug Enforcement Unit officers (DEU).
Rahming said the officers were acting on information received when they proceeded to the Freeport Container Port around 3:30 p.m. to conduct enquiries. On arrival at that facility, the officers commenced the search of a 40-foot metal container that was positioned on the storage bay....
