yeah, because a baby in pain is hilarious.
Attacked by ants though, how long did this child had to be unobserved?

but though i can understand that crap happens, this part is really atrocious:
The mother was upset that hospital authorities prevented her from taking a photo of her child to issue to the press, and she was also unable to voice her agony to higher health authorities.

The press was also reportedly prevented from entering the hospital with a camera to take a photo of the bitten baby after the incident occurred. Such a move came on the heels of an intimate meeting between the press and members of the Public Hospitals Authority (PHA), during which PHA officials promised to establish closer ties with the press in order to disseminate accurate and timely information.

she has a case- I implore the family to sue the hospital, the hospital authority, the oncharge nurse doctor whoever!...they woulda had to fight me to stop me from taking the picture...this child wasnt being monitored-im sure a 7 month old screamed to high heavens- why noone came to see what was the deal. hopefully the pediatric nurse and anyone near the scene should be fired and their license revoked! a hospital full of stinging ants- my God!

Nassau is large enough to have two public hospitals.

Divide Nassau into "health districts"

Build two NEW 250 bed community hospitals. They can be expanded as needed.

Or better yet make the politicians have to use the public heath system. then see how fast it will improve. We vote for leaders and then they set them selves above the people.
