We have concluded that in general Bahamians have been conditioned and socialized to lie and or deceive people about such issues if they are controversial. Just tell the truth we say. People are not stupid. We will not reject a politician for simply being gay if he(she) is honest and frank about it.Then maybe we can finally move on.

We live in a small, and sometimes strange society. We know who is Gay and who is not (or we think we do!) But we are OK with is as long as an unofficial "don't ask, don't tell" policy is observed.

the almighty christian council got Cable Bahamas to remove BET (which i do in fact miss) but left at least five channels that violate even more of their so called code of ethics....hypocrites. Even more reason to buy a dish setup :)

Spit and saliva is quickly washed away;unlike semen which can be tested for. The young child after having received some pleasure from the encounter may end up liking it and embrace it as a way of life. How sad.The damage has been done and another life is warped.

I am not Gay myself, but I know a number of Gay people, both male and female. Whenever the subject comes up about equal rights for Gays, I remind them that the biggest obstacle to overcome is the mountain of superstitions, misinformation and anti-gay propaganda that is deeply ingrained in the minds of those who, sometimes loosely, embrace the Cross (when it is expedient!)

Gays, in general are not predators of children, any more than non-gays are. They are as shocked, nauseated and opposed to such child abuse as anyone. True, there are some who do the things you suggest, but then so do non-gays. We read it in the papers all the time "Man of 57 rapes girl of 13." Was he Gay? No he was heterosexual! We also know that incest is rampant here - heterosexual incest at that! These kinds of people, be they Gay or other wise have problems that goes deeper than their choice of sex! I know Gays who would take after a child molester with an axe handle and pound him into the sand.

Gays do not recruit! You cannot recruit those with no interest in your program! If a Gay approaches a person perhaps, he read the wrong signals. Perhaps he thought the person was Gay! My daughter had a problem with her boyfriend last night and she was hurting. 26 years and she slept in bed with my wife and I. She was snuggled into me all night. I will always be there for my kids no matter what. (Unless I am dead or something)
