Its a disgrace what we in the family island have to put up with when it comes to Cable Bahamas.I RECOMMEND STOP PAYING CABLE BAHAMAS FOR SERVICE WERE NOT RECEIVING.Most of the channel are not coming in and the only channel people really like to watch,they have cancel and replace with a music channel.why can't the government make sure us there people are getting what they are paying for or bring in another cable company so service can improve for all .I THINK THIS IS AND AREA THAT CAN ALSO USE A compete INOTHER FOR BETTER SERVICE FOR ALL CONCERN.

I would hate to think that if you live down in crooked island you exspect 100% service from cable bahamas try again.
That company would provide some service but not the full monthy because the client-tel isn't there for their return.That's common sense there not going to invest millions to receive thousands that just don't compute unless everyone else is willing to pay a higher service charge for that to happen and we are already paying to much.

a franchise is a franchise is a franchise, and you're supposed to serve up everyone, not just the main islands where ya makes your bread and butter.

cable bahamas is making money hand over fist, they do next to NO public service work (which every other cable company in the world is expected to offer) and part of their franchise monopoly agreement should have mandated cable modem wiring of all 41 district government council offices throughout the country. at the very least!

someone's getting kickbacks for that sweetheart deal ... smt.

dang, North Andros is 10 mins away from Nassau and Cable Bahamas sucks. The lone technician lives in Central Andros almost 1hour away and don't like to answer his cell, if you need to see him, just ride around and you may see him on the road, he will tell you when he coming to your house. We don't even have a office.

We only know what Z.N.S news tells us.

and no South Florida Stations, We are elated to here what is happening in Boston!!! Oh yea and when ever the power goes out so does the guide and couple other channels, and to top it off we pay the same amount as Nassau and Grand Bahama.

They also said they can't tell us when we will get their internet service, we are at the mercy of Batelco.

lol....please, speak what you know. just because you don't see an article in the newspaper declaring CB the donor of this...or that....doesn't mean nothing's going on.

and blame the government that drew up the terms & regulations by which Cable was to conduct themselves. it should have been spelt out that all of the islands and every settlement was to receive cable television.

how about we make sure everybody has running water first. or indoor plumbing. how about that?

hun....he is not obligated to answer his cell phone for you. he doesn't work for YOU or anyone else living in Andros. he works for Cable Bahamas. he is to go where he is sent, by his office.

anything he does outside of his job schedule, leaves him open to being reprimanded by CB.

I heard that it was spelled out in the agreement, but the effinms nor the PLP has held Cable Bahamas to the letter of the agreement for reasons that they have not shared with the public. How many years until the exclusive agreement runs out? Has it been secretly extended?

i'll tell you this much: what you heard wasn't the truth.
everyone (party) wants to spin the story to make themselves look better.
i think the "exclusive" portion has expired.....rumour has it a gov't company (that can't provide it's primary service properly) wants to try its hand @ digital cable.

i do know, firsthand, unfortunately. i work with a group that builds community computer centres throughout eleuthera and cat island. we rely on corporate underwriting from royal bank of canada, rotary club east nassau, batelco, amoury company, individuals.

cable bahamas has on more than one occasion offered to sponsor the internet access for various centres, only to start sending us bills three months into the project.
