… On Senator Pleasant Bridgewater



24th January, 2009

For Immediate Release



I have been advised by Senator Pleasant Bridgewater today that she has tendered her resignation to the President of the Senate with immediate effect so as to fully dedicate her resources and energies to fight the charges brought against her. She has assured me of her innocence.



I deeply regret this turn of events, having regard to the yeoman service Senator Bridgewater has given to our party and to our country.



I understand the course of action that she has decided to take and I believe that this is the right and appropriate thing to do in these most unfortunate circumstances.



I thank Senator Bridgewater for her service to the Progressive Liberal Party and to our country.

The same thing goes for Mr Wilchcombe and Mr. Lightbourne as well as no one no matter your role in this matter is exempt.

That will never happen, crooks will deny to the end. The media spectacle it would be in Nassau if or when the Travoltas have to testify and not a positive media spectacle at that.
If they are are acquitted the American media and public at large will of course take the Trovoltas side of the story (and unfortunately I do too) and that will inevitably hurt or should i say damage the Bahamas' reputation and consequently the tourism industry.

so bridgewater is presently charged with 'abetting extortion' ... does that mean that the EMT guy told her was he was planning to do (contact travolta's lawyers in florida and ask for money for the cell phone photograph) and that bridgewater should have turned his ***** into local authorities?

or is she charged with being one of the two people actually doing the extortion? none of the press coverage is making this very clear.

I am often painted with a bloody brush myself by some of the backward, uncivilized haters among us (like you?). It seems that anyone with some degree of virtue in this hell bound little nation is an automatic target.

I humbly offer my best advice though. Firstly, when trying to extort people, be smart and make sure u aint being recorded. Second, try to ask for reasonable amounts. Third, dont mess with big mucka mucks like the Travoltas. John Travolta and gang gat the money, the lawyers, da connections to jam ya arse for life! But my biggest piece of advice: DONT DROP THE SOAP..........TAKE VASELINE TO DA BIG HOUSE WITH YA, AND MAKE SURE THAT AINT NO PEPPER IN THE VASELINE............
