    Bahamas I have a problem with this

    Something looks so wrong about this picture. When will the gov't start rewarding people that do good work without religious affiliations with high honours? I feel that people like Ellis and Pinder really dont neccessarily deserve the OBE distinctions- what do they do on a regular and continual basis that benefits Bahamians beside Bible beat and damn me to hell because I dont go to church and I believe that gay people should have rights and abortion should be legal in the Bahamas?

    The cannot and shouldnot continue to reward good people who do real service for their fellow Bahamians with these types of clowns- its absolutely maddening to me. This is what continues to happen because we dont understand the concept of separation of church from state.

    Im the least bit concerned about me getting these types of awards- my work will speak for itself and I dont need validation from anyone but Jesus- but if I was- I guess i'd have to open a store front church called "Bible Beat" and wait for my honour!

    I think we understand it but the populous may not embrace it, maybe?

    Remember this is not the United States and there is no formal progressive engine driving the separation.

    The one that just made this decision;

    The Supreme Court recently in a split decision ruled against Ten Commandments displays in court houses in Kentucky and Texas. Liberal "civil liberties" groups have threatened law suits against communities all over the nation, intimidating city officials into removing Ten Commandments monuments that have stood for nearly 50 years.

    Open your eyes man.... there is a "formal progressive engine driving the separation." Read the whole post next time. Its a comparison with the movement that is in the US verses the Bahamas. Its that simple so please don’t take it out of that context.

    see im glad i watch cable news! and I saw o'reilly last night and he was some pissed about the whole thing what they didnt tell about that case is that before you even saw the the nativity scene their was a kwanza and hanukkah displays and it showcased all religions so people wouldnt get offended. I think that case was about people having nothing better to do (the alliance project and the Aclu)

    noting is ever what it seems- the christian right in that country is having a field day- that's the only reaon why george bush is pres (because he went in the midwest and played on the intelligence of christians who need jesus themselves)

    do your homework and dont just blab of at the mouth.
