Election too important to vote "Independent"

Nah, everybody knows that the general elections coming up soon, but seriously who we gan vote for. Man, I really getting desperate now; the Bahamas needs a saviour! I tired of just merely surviving in this country. It seems as if only a selected few getting a piece of the pie. The crumbs I getting just ain't fulling me up dred! I bug! I dead screw ya know bullah!

It is quite clear that the PLP dem doing some odd things man; some peculiar things, just some dumb azz things, completely opposite to what the Bahamas needs to do in order to move to the next level, (sorry about the cliche). The entire party is filled to the brim with questionable characters man, who wantonly do as they like. They stay threatening and intimidating people, in fact throwing out people dem furniture out of their houses dred, calling civil servants them 'stupid and lazy'... Man, it seems as if they stay in the news concerning scandals. None of them knows what honourable really means. And can you imagine, they want me vote for them...they mussy crazy!

It is a fact that the prime minister is slow at making decisions and the decisions that he does make, leaves one questioning whether he is serious. (Clearly, he thinks Bahamian people dem stupid!). Does he really consult the public or is that a facade. Clearly he playing politics with our emotions. Him with his code of ethics...

The PLP still victimizes and they reek of the old regime; Everyday another old evil PLP from yesteryear happens to be named on some public board in order to rake in the big monies. Moreover, every so often we hear rumours about some strange side deals being made throughout the Bahamas at the expense of the public. Then there is the gated communities for the rich popping up left and right, regulating average Bahamians to live in the inner city. The three beaches we have in Nassau crowded when the rich have their private beaches to enjoy. And I ain't forget about how they selling all dese private islands to foreigners, not to mention that their claim to fame anchor projects only benefit is to make us professional bed makers and waiters. Oh God the madness must stop! Give me free! It seems as if massa give the whip to Tom and he beating me bad with it.

Then there is the frigging FNM doing fart...you know them stink wet set, which ya can't even breathe in . Now a days they seem to boycott e'ry and any damn thing...It seems as if Ingraham is purposely selling out his party to Mr. Christie again. I said it...AGAIN...

Where is Cassius Stuart, man? How come he allowing dem to whip us so?
My back hurting man. I is a tired. I jus want some more porrage. Not plenty... I tired of hearing Dexter Johnson dem speeches, they need to do something dred...not just look on...

Then there are the Independent MPs...just a waste a time...Men without a party being the official opposition to the actual opposition, while the country sinks. I can't vote for dem. Clearly a waste a vote...And they promoting vote for the individual...How can I vote for individual when a party needs to run the government. Man it so bad in the Bahamas that if ya vote for an individual, you risk having the wrong party leading the Bahamas for 5 more years.

Only God can save us! Where the Bishop with the holy oil, we need to annoit a new prophet!

I once heard someone say that they were excersing their right to NOT vote as a protest against the crap-job political parties have done and are doing in running the country and fielding candidates. At the time I didn't understand or agree with that sentiment but now I think I gern carry on the same way. I WILL NOT FOR SOME SH!T ***** MAN OR WOMAN BECAUSE THEY MIGHT BE THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS - to hell with that! I have to be able to sleep at night ma beuy and knowing that I aided and abetted a Jack ***** to fudge-up my country is a serious sleep-thief!

I'm sorry. But anyone who says they wont vote because voting chooses the lesser of two evils is clinging onto a cop out. Get educated on the issues and make an informed decision, because your choosing not to vote doesnt mean NO ONE will run the country inevitably.

Bahamians need to stop with this false piety when it comes to politics, they really do. So now we are looking for UPSTANDING persons to lead the country? Give me a collosal break man. People who abdicate their right to vote clearly have no appreciation of what struggles occured to give you that right in the first place. People die for the right to vote, and here we are in the Bahamas with the height of hypocrisy argument - "our politicians aren't holy enough for me to vote for them." SMT.

Its still comes down to no vote, no voice. Why be content to be a spineless Bahamian who wants to be able to say when troubles come - "well I didnt vote for any of them."

Man grow some backbone, grow some sense of nationalism, get educated and get yourself down to PR and get registered to vote - because no country grows when the "smart" people in the nation sit back and do nothing.

I'm not knocking you my brutha. My thing is, I'm not saying "you gotta like so and so, or you gotta be in love with the PLP or FNM or whoever."

We are here talking about the evils of the two leaders in contention for Prime Minister. Forgive me, but what crimes have Perry Christie or Hubert Ingraham ever been legitimately accused of again? What LAWS have either of them broken that has been proven and that is a matter of public criminal record? If we could learn to stop being so stupidly political and stick to FACTS, we could stop trying to sound "evolved" by saying "I just wont vote."

What is Perry's crime again? Ah yes thats right, laziness. What is Hubert's crime again? Ah yes, being biggety. And for this, you will thwart your part in democracy and not cast your ballot.

Bahamians need to grow up seriously - because aint nothing evolved about taking lightly that which you had to fight for, and that is your RIGHT TO HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD.

I've never heard a Bahamian say, "man these doctors today dont know what they are doing, I'm sick but I aint going to the doc", or "these producers today fill their foods with chemicals and additives, I just wont eat", or, "people go get educations and still dont advance like they want, so i just wont advance myself"

But when it comes to making a decision for the future of the nation over a maximum 5 year political period, suddenly we get deep and philisophical, when all we are really saying is "man i dont like none of them, so I wont vote."

When you vote, you een voting for Perry or Hubert to become ya boyfriend or come over to dinner or none of that crap. After examining what you need to examine, all of us should make the decision on which party/leader we think has what it takes to lead the country for the next five years.

To say "none do" is a bunch of foolishness man.

I examined all prospects and concluded both leaders are weak and do not deserve to run the Bahamas.

I am registered....I will vote...I will not vote for the lesser of two evils...I will vote for a person/party agenda that truely has the best interests of the Bahamian People at heart!

Currently, I am waiting to hear the PLP's "real" agenda for the next term about how they are going to address real national issues and stop their foolishness and affection-by-junkanoo-illusionary slight of emotion while "Rome burns".....Ingraham's plan for good governance and national advancement beyond where we are now....if he is elected again (an extremely high probability)....and Dr. Dexter Johnson perscription for our two parties notion of their "inherited" right to rule (I did not say run) this country!

THE OTHER PARTIES AT THIS TIME SIMPLY DO NOT FIGURE IN MY NATIONAL PSYCHE.....THEY SEEM NOT TO HAVE A CLUE BEYOND ROWING AND CALLING OTHERS NAMES WHILE ARTICULATING NOTHING AT ALL WITH ANY NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE!

So...the sum total is that the sphere of my voting likelihood is for Hubert Ingraham's agenda and style of governance (something that is needed in the short-term:to restore a sense of purpose and direction to the collective thinking, thus the FNM party)....some other strong leader and a more "credible" slate of candidates (perferably some of the younger ones) within the PLP with a new and "realistic" and well thoughtout agenda (I think that they are capable of doing so)...and according to how much more good sense comes from Dr Johnson as he elaborate on his platform further...it includes him as well!

Those are the choices as I see them...the rest is up to them! Their agenda not their antics....for political antics are just that to me...like marichal...a mean spirited SOB WHO IS ALWAYS "snipping" but een saying sh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!t! UHMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
